Why Moorland?

Uncompromised Value

We’re a non-profit organisation, supported by the government so our prices are very competitive. But we don’t jeopardise on quality. In fact all our staff are trained up to NVQ level in manufacturing at our factory which was awarded the highest marks by Ofsted. We’re also members of the British Quality Foundation, and quality is of the utmost importance to everyone at Moorland Plastics.

Additional added-value

We’re a true social organisation. Our non-commercial focus it to help train people to a high level in manufacturing as well as offering lifeskill training, like numeracy and literacy. Then we support them throughout their career.

So by working with a professional, social organisation you’ll be able to claim equality and diversity within your supply chain. This is a true competitive advantage for many businesses, especially if you have a corporate social responsibility (CSR) agenda. Even if you don’t, recognising CSR within your business has been proven to influence financiers, increase the likelihood of winning tenders and help differentiate your products. What’s more, we’re part of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. So we’re a solid business partner in an era of uncertainty.

Reduce costs without the risk

Most of our new customers bring their existing businesses to Moorland because they’re looking to reduce manufacturing costs without sacrificing quality. Being UK based we can turn around production quickly and affordably. Our core business is mass manufacturing of both automatic and manumould plastic injection moulded products, as well as vacuum forming, skin packing and assembly work. We also work with with businesses on new product development.
